In this episode we go behind the scenes of the bold new documentary film Blind AF, with Shawn Cheshire whose story is at the heart of it. She's a trailblazing athlete, veteran, and single mom who lost her sight as an adult—and responded with boldness and curiosity rather than retreat. Five years in the making, the film chronicles Shawn’s extraordinary journey from grief and trauma to becoming the first blind woman to cross the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim, ride a single bike across America, and attempt incredible feats like mountain bike races and climbing Everest. Gina LeVey Goldstein, the film’s director, is also on hand her perspective on bringing the film fruition.
